كثيرا" ما تنتهي مسألة الهجرة في فرنسا الى نقاش سياسي محتدم حول الأمن
والاندماج. ان هدف الدراسة هو معالجة الموضوع على نطاق أوسع، في
جميع انحاء العالم. يتعلّق الأمر بشرح ارتباط موجات الهجرة بالعولمة
وبتغيير بعض التّصوّرات المسبقة. من جبل طارق الى جنيف، يجمع الفيلم
إجابات الباحثين من علماء جغرافيا ومؤرّخين وفلاسفة وعلماء انثربولوجيا
واقتصاديّين مع إجابات المهاجرين ليجيب على سؤال أساسي: لماذا
تهاجرون؟
The issue of migration in France is often reduced to a heated
political debate on security issues and integration. The survey's
objective is to approach the subject more broadly, across the
planet. It's about understanding how migration flows are
correlated with globalization and it's also about wringing the neck
of a few preconceptions. From Gibraltar to Geneva, the movie
juxtaposes the responses of researcher’s geographers,
historians, philosophers, anthropologists, economists with those
of migrants, to a central question: why leave?
